During the course of construction for Work 32, the Owner discovered an old well on the property.  We were asked to create something to give this old well a new life.

This Work is conceived of as a stone blue stone volume, cored out at its center to highlight the well.  It secondarily is cut diagonally along the line of the sun's rays an hour before sunset on the Summer Solstice, giving not only new life to its form, but to its use.
